Zalipie, situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship of south-eastern Poland, falls under the jurisdiction of Gmina Olesno and Dąbrowa County.

The village, located approximately 7 kilometers (4 mi) to the west of Olesno, 13 km (8 mi) to the north-west of Dąbrowa Tarnowska, and 68 km (42 mi) to the east of Kraków, has gained fame for its distinct artistic tradition of painting the cottages with ornamental designs.

Among the noteworthy examples of this tradition, the former residence of the local artist Felicja Curyłowa stands out.
