Perfectly situated in the heart of the County with easy access to both the North and South Coasts, our Cornish hideaway campsite, with only 30 pitches exclusively for tents to choose from, we also have a small number of letting units for those who prefer not to camp. The campsite sits in a quiet, tucked away location whilst being just a few minutes’ drive from the A30 and former County town of Bodmin. Running alongside the campsite is a delightful stream which leads into the Camel River and a short walk to the Camel cycle trail will take keen cyclists on a scenic route to nearby Wadebridge and onto the fishing harbour of Padstow. Truly a walkers/cyclists paradise.
Bodmin, 1 mile, has a wide selection of amenities including supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, cycle hire and the infamous Bodmin Jail. The Eden Project and Lanhydrock House are a fifteen minute drive respectively. This is an ideal base for touring the County with easy road access and situated midway between the North and South coasts both less than a half hours drive, there are also countryside walks, golf courses, cycle routes and hiking trails in the area.
On site we bake our own pastries and bread in the mornings and have a small shop for the essentials like milk, eggs, bacon and sausages. We offer a new shower block with individual shower rooms with plenty of hot water, pot washing and freezer in the campers kitchen. Our ethos is very laid back, there is no clubhouse or constant traffic noise just the odd tractor passing from time to time.
