King Jeongjong (1357-1419) was the second king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea. He reigned from 1398 to 1400. His given name was Yi Bangwon, and he is also known by his posthumous title, Jeongjong.

Jeongjong was the fifth son of King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty. He ascended to the throne after his father abdicated in 1398. However, Jeongjong's reign was short-lived and marked by political instability.

Jeongjong's younger brother, Sejong, was a powerful figure during his reign. Sejong was known for his intellectual abilities and his contributions to Korean culture and science. In 1400, Sejong forced Jeongjong to abdicate and took the throne for himself, becoming King Sejong the Great.

Jeongjong spent the rest of his life in retirement. He died in 1419.
