ForestrySA - the South Australian Government's commercial, community and native forest manager since 1875. ForestrySA manages a number of designated campgrounds and accommodation facilities in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

Chookarloo is a very popular camp and and picnic site set in natural Eucalypt woodland, within Kuitpo Forest.

Forest visitors wishing to use a campsite for day visits are required to book and pay for their site online prior to arrival.

Use of fire pits within picnic areas remains free of charge and available on a first-in, first-served basis.

Camping is permitted from 1 April to 30 November annually, outside of the fire danger season.
